Programme «Summer holidays in England»
The program includes 15 lessons per week. Classes are held every day from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 11:45. This module forms the core of the teaching on the programme and focuses on all aspects of English language. A number of English media sources are used to encourage learning, such as the radio, newspapers, films, books and songs. This module introduces appropriate grammar in a variety of contexts, and is aimed at helping you expand your English vocabulary.
Activities and excursions
Previous excursions include: London, Oxford, Brighton, Southampton and the United Nations World Heritage sites of Stonehenge, Lulworth Cove and the spa town of Bath.
As well as the scheduled day excursions, additional afternoon and evening activities are organised by the Summer School team. These include: taking you and the other students for a traditional English breakfast, barbeques, karaoke nights and quiz nights. Student preferences are also taken into consideration, and previous socials have included trips to the local sports centre, cinema, nearby towns and a musical in London. On the final Friday of the programme, there is a farewell party.
Accommodation
The modern buildings of the residence consist of blocks, each of which has 6-8 single residential rooms. The toilets and showers are located on each floor. The price includes full board: breakfast, hot lunch and dinner in the University cafeteria.
