General information

St Andrew's  strives to provide all girls and boys with an all-round education that will last a lifetime and will teach them the joy of learning and the importance of values, responsibilities and community. Set in the beautiful Sussex countryside and only a stone's throw away from Beachy Head, St Andrew’s Prep is an ideal venue for meetings, lettings and activities. Historically, it has hosted residential courses, training courses, outdoor and indoor sporting events and courses, swimming clubs, triathlon training, dance and drama.

Short Term Stays Programme

St Andrew’s accepts children, day or boarding, for a minimum stay of half a term. Children may stay for half a term, one term or longer. Children are taught in small groups under a qualified teacher.

Programme includes lessons of English, Mathematics, Science, French, History, Geography, Religious Studies and Latin (for those children who have studied it) PSHE, Drama and ICT, Art, Design Technology and PE and extra English lessons for international student. 

Sport 

  • Autumn term: Rugby, football, hockey, netball, swimming, gym, tennis, PE 
  • Spring term: Rugby, hockey, netball, swimming, gym, tennis, PE 
  • Summer term: Cricket, athletics, rounders, swimming, gym, tennis, PE 
Please note: PE (physical education) lessons include athletics, basketball, badminton, dance, gymnastics, handball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo, water life saving and personal survival on a rotation basis.


Activities
St Andrew’s offers such breadth of opportunity through its extra curricular programme. Through the extra curricular programme children learn to work together benefiting themselves from school and  community. Such teamwork fosters friendships across and within the year groups and as well as regular activities such as art, sport and music,  pupils engage in activities as varied as debating, photography, karate, fencing, chess, shooting, golf, gardening, and ballet and jazz.
