General information
St. Clare's is situated in Oxford's beautiful conservation area called Summertown, an elegant suburb just 1.5 km north of the city centre. The College occupies several converted Victorian buildings along Banbury Road and Bardwell Road forming two distinct sites - the Banbury Road campus for IB students and summer courses, and the Bardwell Road Centre for adult students. The College also owns 19 residential houses with the capacity to accommodate 325 students.
Juniors stay in a residence, large comfortable rooms are shared by 2-3 children. Older children have the opportunity to choose between staying in residence and homestay.

General English Course (10-15 years)
Experienced teachers from St.Clare’s college are seeking to give the students greater selfconfidence as far as the ease of communication. Classes in the mornings focus on developing greater accuracy and greater fluency in the use of English. Lessons include four skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - as well as building-blocks of language - grammar and vocabulary.

General English Course (15-17 years)
This is the most popular course for teenagers. It combines integrated English Language skills with Active Language Projects and a wide range of activities and excursions. Morning classes (5 days a week) focus on the primary skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, students increase fluency and accuracy and extend the range of vocabulary.

Intensive English Course (15-17 years)
The Intensive English Course is aimed at more serious student. It combines integrated English Language skills, academic study skills and examination practice with a range of activities and excursions. Level of student should be from intermediate to advanced.

IB Introduction Course (15-17 years)
The IB Summer School at St. Clare's is based on the College's extensive expertise and resources that are to provide an introduction course for students about IB Diploma. Classes take place each weekday providing a total of 24 hours over the week. For three weeks students are to follow an IB Diploma timetable. Students will have a different subject emphasis every week. The classes provide introductory courses to IB Diploma in Science, Mathematics, English and Individuals and Societies, Languages and the Arts.

Activities
An exciting range of sports, cultural and social activities keeps your child busy all day – around the playing fields, tennis courts, sports hall and heated outdoor pool of the campus. All scheduled activities on site are included in the course price and there’s something to interest every child - arts, crafts and board games, sport competitions and swimming, quizzes and treasure trails, workshops (African drumming, circus skills), talent show and fancy-dress disco.
Superb excursions each week are included in the course fees. You could enjoy the jousting at Warwick Castle, the Hogwarts experience at Christ Church Great Hall and the thrills of the Theme Park according to the programme. Members of enthusiastic activities team are always on duty to encourage your child to make the most of the busy programme.

Задачей было улучшить разговорный английский, что, на мой взгляд, было достигнуто. Преподаватели очень приветливые и терпеливые, стараются уделить внимание каждому ученику. Много устных заданий в группах, состав которых постоянно менялся. Уроки с первым преподавателем были посвящены преимущественно изучению новой грамматики, со вторым — улучшению разговорных навыков.
Я проживала в одноместной комнате в резиденции в 15 минутах от административного корпуса. Все понравилось — чисто, относительно тихо, питание трехразовое в столовой.
Обучение в интернациональными группах, мне кажется, позволяет преодолеть языковой барьер и общаться на английском более свободно. В моей группе были студенты из Турции, Италии, Франции, Саудовской Аравии, Азии. С некоторыми из них до сих пор общаюсь в соц.сетях.
Ходили в центр Оксфорда, по магазинам, кафе, время от времени целенаправленно ехали посмотреть какую-нибудь достопримечательность. Было очень интересно увидеть те улицы/колледжи, про которые раньше только читал в книгах.
Могу высоко оценить работу сотрудников English For Life в помощи в организации. В рамках поездки я не только проходила обучение сама, но и сопровождала двух подростков. Т.е. всего нас было трое, каждый со своим пакетом документов. Наш менеджер Юлия учла все особенности, постоянно находилась на связи и подробно отвечала на каждый вопрос, подсказала каким образом можно разрешить ту или иную ситуацию. Самый главный отзыв — поездка понравилась всем участникам, ни одной незапланированной ситуации и не возникло.
