General information

Established in 1954, Studio Cambridge is the oldest English language school in Cambridge, UK. The language courses are accredited by the British Council and attract students from all over the world who come to study English in the professional and friendly environment of Studio Cambridge centres. The school occupies impressive 19th century buildings and has 22 spacious classrooms, a learning centre (with library, computers, multimedia facilities), free Internet access and e-mail, WI-FI, a studio café, a beautiful garden and a student services office for activities.

General English Course

The course consists of 15 English language lessons per week (50 minutes per lesson), in international classes of up to 16 students. All students take a placement test on their first day to ensure that they are placed at the correct level. The teaching concentrates on speaking and listening and, in this way, builds on the English you may have already studied in your home country. The classes are dynamic, interactive, appropriate for the age of students and effective.

Activities and excursions

As well as the classes, workshops and visits related to the option, there is an action-packed activity programme. Various creative workshop activities give students the chance to express themselves in ways that go beyond just language. Evening activities include: karaoke, team challenges, board games, film nights, student exhibition, quizzes and parties. All students will get the chance to visit famous cities of England (London, Windsor, Brighton).

Accommodation

The school offers accommodation with a host family. All families are carefully chosen to ensure that high standards are maintained. The friendly British family communicate with students and introduce them to the traditions of England. The price includes three meals a day.
