Family programme

Juniors are placed into groups from Early Learners (aged 5-10) to teen groups appropriate to their level of English. The Early Learners classes make learning as fun and interactive as possible, using songs, games, animation, art and craft. The junior lessons cover a range of grammar, reading and writing, and speaking and listening practice. Materials relevant to each age group are used from books, DVDs, audio CDs to project work, theatre and literature, and role plays. Junior course consists of 15 English lessons per week. Adults choose from one of the all year round course options. The timetable is arranged so that parents can take children to school in the morning before making the short walk to the adult school for their lessons. The junior and adult school are located a short walk from each other.

Activities and excursions

After lessons children are invited to join experienced activity leaders for an afternoon of fun and stimulating activities – sports, excursions, cultural visits, and more. Juniors are divided into smaller groups to take part in activities suited to their age. Older teens (16-17 years) join the afternoon programme to maximise English learning with more intensive practice and young adult themed workshop sessions and activities. There is a lot to see and to do in Cammbridge and also in London so adults have great opportuninty to spend free time as they like.

Accommodation

Accommodation in host families helps student not only improve verbal English but also learn more about the culture of UK. The School can help with booking self-catering, half-board or full-board accommodation. There are also the usual accommodation options if the family prefers, such as Guest Houses or Hotels.
