Eastbourne is a charming seaside town in the south of England, which is considered the sunniest town in the country. The College nestles at the foot of the South Downs, five minutes from the sea and six minutes from the station from where direct trains to Gatwick, Clapham and Victoria take 60, 80 and 90 minutes respectively. The classrooms are spacious and well equipped and the large modern dining hall offers excellent food. General English Course

The course includes 15 hourse of English per week in international classes of no more than 15 students in any class. The school teachers use a diverse range of teaching methods, including interactive technology to deliver communicative lessons. The lessons are designed to develop reading, listening, speaking and writing skills - functional English that students can use both in and out of the classroom. The students are all provided with a learning journal to keep a record of vocabulary, classwork, individual progress and details of their experiences on activities and excursions.

Activities and excursions

Young students can practice language skills outside the classrooms. For them a special international club was established. Here children communicate, talk about their home countries, create joint projects. The 2-week programme includes two full day excursions to London and two half day excursions to Brighton and other southern cities. After classes students go to the sightseeing of Eastbourne: museums, art galleries, parks and churches; in the evening they are waiting for quizzes, contests, discos, karaoke, talent shows, sports and outdoor games.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in ten houses located throughout the campus and these are no more than a few minutes' walk from all facilities. Most rooms are singles or twins, with some triples. Each house has its own security code on the front door. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are taken in the college restaurant. The excellent menus include vegetarian meals as well as a selection of hot and cold dishes together with a salad bar. A full English breakfast is served twice weekly with continental breakfast on the other days.

As an alternative, the accommodation in friendly host families in double rooms is offered. A three meals a day is provided.
