Cambridge University dates from the 13th century – one of the oldest universities in the world. This is the ideal place not just to study English but also to learn about university life. Lucy Cavendish College is one of the University’s 31 colleges. It is a modern college, with good teaching and social facilities, very high quality residential accommodation and excellent food. It is just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Cambridge.
Campus facilities: secluded campus with spacious gardens, modern and well-equipped classrooms, computers with free Internet access and e-mail, dining room, lecture theatre, student lounge, accommodation, activities and welfare office, high level of safety and security.

Intensive English Programme
This programme includes lessons about Cambridge University and applies them more widely to help you to be prepared for university life in general. Of course, Lucy Cavendish, one of Cambridge University’s prestigious colleges, is the perfect setting to immerse yourself in university life.
This is an intensive programme and comprises 20 lessons of English language instruction each week. In addition, you'll have 8 hours of University Discovery studies each week covering topics such as Cambridge University history, the College system, the Cambridge Union Society debates, sporting traditions, effective interviews etc.
Week course includes:
- 20 English language lessons;
- 8 lessons of University Discovery studies;
- daytime and evening activities;
- 1 full-day excursion.
Activities
There is a full programme of on- and off-campus activities and excursions at no additional cost. These include: social, cultural and sporting activities every evening and in one or two afternoons each week. These will include local visits in Cambridge connected with university life, such as: Cambridge University college tour, King’s College Chapel, Fitzwilliam Museum visit, Wren’s library, Punting on the river.
One full-day excursion each week to historic and famous towns such as London or the university city of Oxford is included.
