General information
Cheltenham Ladies' College was founded in 1853, and is one of the best performing and most prestigious independent boarding schools in the country. The college campus is located a short 10 minute walk from the centre of Cheltenham itself making it a very convenient location for our students. There is a brand new performing arts centre, sports centre & playing fields, 25m swimming pool, theatre & disco hall, Internet access.
Cheltenham is one of England's most beautiful Regency towns and is situated in the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has much to offer, from its graceful architecture and history to beautiful gardens and diverse shops.

General English Course
This English programme is ideal for students who wish to both learn English and make the most out of our afternoon and evening social activities programme. Classes are always small, with a maximum of 15 students. This enables our teachers to focus on individual aims and interests. All students receive their very own work book where they can keep a record of their work in class.
Some morning English lessons help to prepare for upcoming excursions. Students are taught essential language and given the background to landmarks so they can make the most of their day out.
Week course includes:
- 15 English language lessons;
- daily activities;
- 2 excursions per week.
Intensive General English
This course is designed for students who are determined to improve their English quickly and still enjoy most of the exciting social activities. Programme includes 28 hours English per week.
English Plus Horse Riding
Learn new horse-riding skills or improve your existing skills with qualified riding instructors. Students will have the opportunity to experience horse riding in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. All abilities and levels are catered for.
English Plus Golf
This course is designed for students wishing to take up golf training in addition to the standard General English programme. At centre in Cheltenham, we work in partnership with a local golf club where students can enjoy 6 hours of golf instruction each week with the club’s resident Golf Pro.
Activities
Afternoon and evening entertainment includes getting-to-know-you games, theatre, sports and fashion shows. Cheltenham Ladies’ College is lucky to have a fantastic arts centre which is the perfect location for evening activities, as talent show, disco, Quiz nights, film nights, sports tournaments and many more options.
Excursion programme include visit to London, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Cardiff, Bath or Bristol.
