General information

The college is set in 125 acres of beautiful parkland just outside Edinburgh and the historic 16th century building and peaceful surroundings make it a unique place to study. The school facilities include spacious and bright classrooms, library, computer center with the Internet access, dining room, recreation room, playgrounds, room for various events. Nyubattl is a magical place for learning English and acquaintance with the traditional Scottish hospitality.

Programme «Holidays in Scotland»

The course includes 20 lessons of General English per week. The main attention is paid to improving speaking skills and expansion of vocabulary. The school works with a specific short course syllabus, concentrating on the four main skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing. In addition to learning English students will be acquainted with the Scottish culture.

Activities and excursions

During the afternoons, students are offered a variety of practical group-based activities such as indoor and outdoor sports, arts & crafts and drama & music. The evenings offer a range of quiz nights, discos, talent shows and other team-based activities. This provides the perfect opportunity for your child to meet people from different cultures, and practise their English in a natural, social environment, helping to create lifelong memories and discover lifelong friends.

An essential part of learning experience is the excursion programme. The 2-week programme includes an exciting one full day excursion to Glasgow, Stirling, Loch Lomond and Alnwick and 1 half day, during which children will be able to visit the most famous sights of Edinburgh: the Linlithgow Palace, the North Berwick, the Tantallon Castle, the Falkland Palace, the Edinburgh Castle, the Holyrood Palace, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Museum of Scotland.

Accommodation

Students are accommodated in a comfortable residence in single or double rooms. Each room has a sink, the showers and toilet are located on the floor (1 shower and toilet for 5 students). Three meals a day is organized in the spacious cafeteria. During the excursions the students are provided with a packed lunch.
