General information

Founded in 1845, Brighton College is a historical campus based centre situated walking distance from the vibrant city centre of Brighton, the UK. Students love the seaside location and get the explore the exciting city including Brighton’s famous pier, beaches and attractive town centre.

The College has fantastic facilities including an indoor swimming pool, large playing fields, tennis courts, an indoor theatre, common rooms with TV facilities, a beautiful dining hall, the enclosed campus with 24 hour security makes it the perfect balance between a city centre location with the safety and space of residential campus.

General English Course

These course are designed to help students improve communication skills. Therefore lessons include plenty of opportunities for students to use the language. Classroom activities include role- play, pair-work, group-work, group projects, surveys, questionnaires and games.

Week course includes:

15 English language lessons;
full multi activity programme;
1 full-day and 1 half-day excursions.

Intensive Programme

English language courses are designed to help students not only increase their knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary, but also their confidence in using English. The students can also take an Intensive English programme with extra 12 hours of English lessons per week.

GESE Preparation

In addition to General English courses students have the opportunity to take the Trinity College graded exams in Spoken English (GESE) to gain a qualification in speaking English.

Activities

The day time activity programme operates 4 mornings and afternoons every week. It combines an exciting mix of both sporting and creative activities for your enjoyment.

The evening entertainment programme is a chance for you to let your hair down and relax with all your fellow students at the centre. A different event every night of the week from themed discos to talent shows, sporting competitions to relaxing movie nights.
